March 2019: Terry Norling, JDISS Senior Systems Engineer and ISS Marketing Director, was singled out by the Prince Williams Chamber of Commerce to receive the Medal of Valor Award for his rescue actions while off duty as a volunteer firefighter with the Manassas Volunteer Fire Company (MVFC).Â
The Valor Awards are for first responders who go above and beyond the call of duty while on or off duty and are selected through a very rigorous screening process. Terry pulled out of an excessively mangled, burning car what appeared to be a dead driver and resuscitated him.  Previous to this award, Terry graduated top of his Fire Academy class, was voted Rookie of the year and the following year was selected by the President and Fire Chief as the top volunteer of the year for the City of Manassas Fire and Rescue. And in 2016 he was voted by all active MVFC members as the Fire Fighter of the Year.
